Singular and unique are the two words that best describe the ministry and music of internationally known Christian performer Sam Kauffman. Singer, songwriter and recording artist, Sam‘s style is hallmarked by her exceptional storytelling ability along with easy to sing music and memorable lyrics. She has developed over fifty theme based programs based on Scripture, supported by her original music, stories, poetry and dramas.
A multi-faceted performer, Sam has adjudicated Vocal Competitions for the Gospel Music Association, Christian Artists Seminar, performed with the San Francisco Family Theater, produced and directed musical theater performances. With the Northeast Artists Guild (NEAG) and Christian in Theater Arts (CITA), she has presented workshops and performed at their annual conferences. Sam is a roster artist with NEAG and a published Author, Composer, Dramatist, Lyricist, and Musician.
In This Room, the title song of Sam’s first CD, is sung all over the world as the international theme song of the Ecumenical group, Kairos Outside. Her other CDs Gift of Frankincense, The Breath of Grace and The Story of the Little Star, have received national radio airplay. Sam’s latest CD Treasure of the Heart, features music and songs that will touch your heart includes Beloved, Heartsongs, and Amazing Wings.
While Sam’s music has received national radio airplay, it is her work with churches throughout the United States that remains the focus of her Servant’s Heart Ministry. Quoting Sam, “Serving the needs of the local church is at the heart of my ministry.”
Sam attended the University of Washington graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, emphasis on Music and English, and continues vocal study with Dr. Scott Martin, Director, Academy Of The Arts, Denver, Colorado. She is also the author of children and poetry books and "Prayer Pathways", which uses music, psalms, prayer and meditation to deepen one’s experience of God. Sam’s children’s book "The Story of the Little Star" is used nationally for Christmas pageants.
Sam and her husband live in the San Francisco Bay Area, are the parents of two adult children and “one mischievous Wheaten terrier!” |
